Tour of Flavors: St. George & Owl's Head
with Kelli Park
Start your summer with the best local flavors! Let’s begin our adventure with a delicious brunch at St. George River Cafe, a local hole-in-the-wall in historic Warren village. We’ll explore the large-than-life artwork of renowned Maine artist Bernard Langlais at the Langlais Sculpture Preserve in Cushing, and make a stop at a local market for picnic essentials! Let’s enjoy our picnic lunch on the rocky coast and enjoy the views at Owl’s Head Lighthouse, then head to a local vineyard to sample more of the finest local flavors! Last, but certainly not least, we’ll stop at Beth’s Farmstand for their famous strawberry shortcake (it IS strawberry season, after all!). Don’t miss this opportunity to get off the beaten path and celebrate the start of summer in Maine! Brunch at St. George River Cafe, the wine tasting and tour, and dessert at Beth’s Farmstand are included in the cost of the trip; picnic lunch essentials are not included. Feel free to pack your own lunch, if you’d like! Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Please bring layers, snacks and water, and an insulated cooler bag for grocery purchases, if you plan to shop along the way.
