Adult Pickleball in Pownal

Come drop in for some Pickleball action, get some great exercise and have some fun!  All levels and abilities are welcome. Some paddles will be provided, but if you have your own, you should bring it with you.  

 

You MUST register at no cost in order to attend sessions.  

There is a $3 Drop in fee for EACH session you attend.  Pay at the session location.

Adult Rec Basketball (DCS Sunday AM)

This is a co-ed program for those adults (18 and up) interested in a game of pickup basketball and physical exercise. NO DROP INS. Must be pre-registered with Community Programs. (Gym will be closed certain days. Registered participants will be notified of closings.)

Always wanted to run a road race?  Designed for the beginner runner, this 8 week program will get you up and moving, just in time for fall race season.  Each session will include some strength training as well as building up your running time.  All you need are running shoes and the desire to run a 5k.  Classes will be 30-45 minutes long.  

Participants should bring a water bottle to class.

Cuban Salsa

Join us for an introduction to Cuban Salsa! Learn the basics of the Salsa footwork and some simple, fun moves that will get you out on the dance floor! Learn how to connect with any partner and build your confidence dancing to different styles and tempos of music. This is one workout you won't want to miss! Partner is not required, but recommended. 

Early AM Interval Training

Are you stuck in a workout rut?  Studies show that getting in a workout first thing in the morning is the path to being more productive, creative, and healthy.  Join this interval training class to start your day right.  each class is designed to improve your flexibility, strength, cardiovascular fitness and balance.  Exercises will vary from class to class so you won't get bored with your workout.  PArticipants will elarn a varieyty of exercises that can be done with little or no equipment necessary.  All fitness levels welcome.  This class will be held outside, weather permitting.  Participants should bring a water bottle and a mat or beach towell to class.
