Studio Artisane: Giant Snowflakes

Sandrine Moser is originally from a little town in Southern France. Sandrine’s woodworking career began in 2012 by building furniture for her daughter’s dolls. From there, she pursued her love for the craft with bigger pieces by building all the furniture in her house, including bookshelves, tables, and beds. Sandrine wants to empower her students by teaching them to confidently build their own projects. She wants her students to be proud to say “I built it!” This class is designed for beginner power tool users. Please keep long hair tied back, wearclosed-toe shoes, and do not wear jewelry. Materials fee of $15 paid to instructor.

Learn about the following in each workshop:

A. Selecting proper materials

B. Reading plans and visualizing the project

C. Measuring and laying out project parts

D. Identifying common hand tools by proper name

E. Identifying and demonstrating properusage of power tools

F. Cutting pieces

G. Sanding wood for preparation of finish

H. Sharing ideas on finishing (finishing is done at home)

Studio Artisane offers Open Studio sessions, where participants can bring their own projects and consult the instructor on developing skils, learning techniques and using equipment. Participants must supply their own materials and project ideas. Please keep long hair tied back, wear closed-toe shoes, and do not wear jewelry.

This class will focus on building a doll-sized bunk bed.

Tae Kwon Do is a great way to beacom physically and mentally fit while having fun!  Learn valuable life long skills:  respect, self confidence and courage, all while practiving self defense techniques.  We stress going at your own pace and strive to help you on your journey. 

Free Uniform for your FIRST session! (beginners are asked to arrive at 5:30 and stay for the second class as well)

Introductory Class  5:30 pm to 6:00 pm

All Ranks Class  6:00 pm to 7:00 pm

NO CLASS 11/20, 12/25, 1/1 or 2/19

Discover the health benefits of T’ai Chi Ch’uan! Based on the Taoist philosophy, T’ai Chi Ch’uan movements are based on the balance of opposites of Yin and Yang. Although originally developed as a martial art, it hasbecome popular as a form of moving meditation with numerous health benefits! T’ai Chi Ch’uan can lower stress and blood pressure, decrease the likelihood of falling, improve coordination, and so much more! Learn two new movements each week and familiarize yourself with the Yang style slow set. Please wear loose clothing and flat shoes for the best mobility. (No class 1/21/19 and 2/18/19)
